Advisors, Mentors & Coaches

All Programs
Community Innovation Lab maintains a roster of experienced entrepreneurs and business experts because we know that advisors, mentors, and coaches are vitally important to entrepreneurs. Supporting a startup or high-growth entrepreneur is a rewarding and enriching experience. Advisors are subject matter experts who provide short-term support to help move a business forward. Mentoring supports all aspects of an entrepreneur's growth and is a one-year commitment, however, as little as one hour per week can make a huge difference. Coaches present specific topics and work closely with entrepreneurs on methodologies and the application to their business. Meetings may take place at Co-iLab Hub or any mutually convenient place, via telephone, and online. Check out our current opportunities: The Refinery: The Refinery is seeking coaches for the upcoming Boot Camp Business Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs from Thursday, January 24 to Saturday, January 26, 2019 (9 am - 5 pm). For this three-day Boot Camp, each coach acts a team leader to a group of five women entrepreneurs. Coaches present segments of the curriculum and work closely with participants on methodologies and the application to their business. Coaches will need to have deep knowledge of business theories, management techniques, business-growth methodologies, and direct experience with entrepreneurship. Contact The Refinery's Program Coordinator at [email protected] for more information. SPICE (Seniorpreneur Program 4 Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship): We are launching our new SPICE program and we need advisors, mentors, and coaches! Supporting a startup or high-growth entrepreneur is a rewarding and enriching experience. We are currently seeking advisors, mentors, and coaches for our SPICE program. If you want to give back and have experience in business planning, entrepreneurship, and starting a business after 50, then this opportunity may be right for you. Contact SPICE's Program team at [email protected] for more information. Co-iLab Hub: Our Co-iLab Hub is a central access point and co-working space for diverse entrepreneurs to collaborate, convene and co-create solutions. We are seeking the most talented business advisors, mentors, and coaches to help our community of entrepreneurs build their businesses. This is an excellent opportunity to share your expertise and give back. Contact our Hub Animators at [email protected] for more information. Connect with us via the contact information above, or call us at 905-576-6112, to find out more about becoming a business advisor, mentor, or coach (email addresses are included in the opportunity descriptions above). Please reference the opportunity (The Refinery, SPICE or the Co-iLab Hub) in your application.
