SPICE Boot Camp: Four Days to Kickstart Your Business

SPICE (Seniorpreneur Program 4 Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship) Boot Camp is a four-day (over one month) hands-on experience designed for Seniorpreneurs who want to start or grow their business.

Are you 55+, live in Durham Region, and are ready to start or grow your own business? SPICE may be for you! While applications to SPICE Boot Camp are now closed, we have developed a curated series of professional development workshops. Boot Camp: Four-days that will kickstart your business

The SPICE Boot Camp is a four-day intensive workshop (one day a week for four weeks) that will identify your pain points, put your ideas into action, and give you the confidence to start or grow your business.

SPICE Boot Camps ran for four Tuesday’s in April, May, and July 2019.

Apply now! To apply, please register your business with SPICE using our online form (takes about twenty minutes). We will follow up with a phone call to discuss your idea, business and goals.

Coaches and Facilitators

The SPICE Boot Camp features a combination of facilitators, specialists, coaches, and mentors, each providing a high level of experience and knowledge, supporting hands-on business and professional development activities.

Facilitators will lead the boot camps and support participants 1:1 throughout the month-long boot camp. Specialists will bring their expertise to the boot camps to present segments of the curriculum and will lead participants through weekly group and peer mentorship sessions. All have a deep knowledge of business theories, management techniques, business-growth methodologies, and direct experience with entrepreneurship.

Boot Camps are held at the Co-iLab Hub in Oshawa, Ontario

We are located at 600 Rossland Road W, Oshawa and we offer free onsite parking.

Three cohorts in 2019

If you are aged 55+ and are leading, or plan to start, a business that’s based in Durham Region, and you want to secure the tools and resources to kickstart your business, the SPICE entrepreneurship boot camp is for you. Boot Camps are scheduled for April 2019, May 2019 and July 2019.

There is absolutely no charge to participate*

SPICE is a one-year pilot project (October 2018 to October 2019) that is generously funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Twenty spots per boot camp are subsidized by the Ontario Trillium Foundation for people aged 55+ who reside in Durham Region and wish to explore entrepreneurship. If you are not located in Durham Region, but still wish to apply, please contact us at 905-576-6112 for more information.
