Kasey Dunn has a background in arts management, live performance, and creative incubation. She is a specialist in social change, and has started ventures in both the public and private sectors. Kasey is inspired by the increasing numbers of women launching into entrepreneurship, especially with an eye towards social change, and is excited to bring her skill set as the program co-ordinator of The Refinery and Community Outreach.
Kasey runs a creative entrepreneur business in Toronto called Brick and Mortar, which offers affordable studios, theatres, equipment, advising, and business planning to creative workers; everything artists need to ‘make it,’ and break out of the gig economy. When not helping entrepreneurs succeed, Kasey’s other passion is animal welfare and rescue. She has worked in many capacities for the last 10 years to better the lives of animals, from municipal advocacy to active adoption programming. Kasey lives in Toronto with her husband and menagerie of pets.
