Beverly Browne has been writing for publications and small businesses for more than 30 years. She developed a particular interest in real estate, and in 1980, was intrigued to learn that properties were sometimes auctioned by local governments simply to recover the unpaid property taxes. Over the years Beverly came to realize that many Canadians were unaware that such properties could be bought legitimately. And since there was not an abundance of information on the subject in book form, in 2012 Beverly decided that she would compile information that would be helpful to anyone wanting to understand the process.
The end result is a very straightforward book about how to acquire real estate at prices that are most often well below market value. Born in Jamaica, Beverly has lived in Ontario since 1975.
