Project: Restore FIBI, Founder and Executive Director
As the founder and executive director of Project: Restore Families Impacted By Incarceration (FIBI), Aisha is deeply committed to exploring the complexity of justice. She is a businesswoman turned social justice advocate. She is a critical thought leader, keen visionary and authentic voice. Partly by choice, but mainly because of the compelling call on her life, Aisha endeavours to underscore the justice system with both a united vision of what justice is and an allied approach to administering it equitably.
Aisha also cares about people; and with a deep sense of care, responsibility, and an endearing wisdom helps others to see their multidimensional lives as the rich narrative that has primed them for great personal achievement, the fulfilment of their purpose, and their all-important contribution to society.
An author and speaker influencing paradigms with provocative insight
An expert leading change, and teaching innovation, with an imperative humanitarian lens
An executive redefining leadership with a tenacious flair and uncompromising grace
FIBI has a mission to keep families intact and thriving; and a vision to see families strengthened, affirmed, and included, against all odds. The goal is to fortify the family unit through nurtured familial relationships, deepened connectedness to one’s self and others, and a network of community support, and mitigate the negative effects of incarceration. FIBI’s ‘family-focused, family-first’ approach enables solutions and services that address both direct and indirect interactions with the criminal justice system to interrupt personal, generational, and intergenerational cycles of incarceration and its inevitable impact.
